Over a year ago, I noticed that my right temporomandibular joint (TMJ) had become inflamed and achy as a result of biting into tough foods. I took the painkillers prescribed by my dentist. Although the symptoms subsided temporarily, my right TMJ started to pop and make clicking sounds. It felt like a minor problem, but in actual fact it troubled me greatly.
