Symptom : Temporomandibular Disorders (TMD)
One morning in early October, I woke up to find that I could not open my mouth without it causing me pain. I could barely place my toothbrush into it. It was somewhat difficult to eat. As someone who enjoyed eating very much, this was tormenting for me. Yawning or laughing out loud would cause me considerable pain. I searched for information on the internet; I discovered that what I had contracted was TMD. I trawled through a number of articles; I noticed that many people had the same problem. There were also many people who had visited Dr. Wen’s Chinese Medicine Clinic and National Taiwan University Hospital. Without hesitation, I visited Dr. Wen’s clinic as it was closer to where I lived. That was the first time in my life that I had received acupuncture treatment. After two treatments, there was no longer any pain except for the cracking in my jaw. I took Chinese medicinal drinks every day. After receiving ten treatments in total, I felt fully recovered already and could laugh, eat and drink as much as I had done before. I am grateful to Dr. Wen for helping me to resolve my condition. It was awful not to be able to eat. In addition, I worried that my dental brace treatment might have displaced my teeth. If you are experiencing the same issue, just make an appointment to see Dr. Wen.
