Sequelae of impact

Symptom : Sequelae of impact

Due to an accident, I injured my cheek. Originally, I thought that I had only dislocated my cheekbone and that, after the swelling had reduced, everything would return to normal. 
        Unfortunately, a few months later, although the swelling had gone away, I developed a number of issues with the nerves in my cheeks. I started to experience numbness, heat, pain and the inability to form facial expressions. To make things worse, I found that whenever the weather changed, the throbbing nervous pain would increase. 

Upon the referral of a friend who had shared the same experience as myself and had been treated by Dr. Wen, I came to Dr. Wen’s clinic for treatment. When I was treated by Dr. Wen for the first time, I was admittedly skeptical. To my surprise, after the first acupuncture treatment, I found that the tightness in my right cheek had been significantly alleviated. The condition of the nerves in my cheek had improved by 70%, and this state lasted until noon the next day. This development gave me increased confidence in Dr. Wen and his methods. I came to  receive further treatment at the clinic the next day; this time, the improved state lasted longer and remained until the evening. Therefore, I decided to undergo an intense treatment program and subsequently visited the clinic every day. At that time, Dr. Wen assessed my condition and assured me that I would be able to recover from my condition completely with around 30 sessions of treatment; this further boosted my confidence in him.

After receiving the sixth treatment, I found that I had recovered almost to the state I had been in before developing this illness. However, due to work-related stress, my condition deteriorated to 50% of a fully recovered state. I discussed this with Dr. Wen. I continued my treatment and endeavored not to be affected by my emotions and stress. During the course of the treatment, however, external pressures caused my condition to fluctuate. At one point, I felt very frustrated and even thought that I might never make a full recovery.

Fortunately, Dr. Wen kept encouraging me and adjusted the acupuncture points as needed. The condition of my nerves improved by 70%. By the 32nd treatment session, I found that my entire nervous system had been stabilized and was no longer affected by external factors such as changes in the weather, work-related pressure and my own mental state. By the 40th and final session of the entire treatment program, my nervous system had recovered by almost 99%.

I am extremely grateful to Dr. Wen. Because of him, I have regained my confidence.
