Vertigo
I used to suffer from bouts of vertigo. Normally, I would take some anti-dizziness medication and the symptoms would disappear after two days; however, in the past half year, the frequency of attacks increased. After the most recent episode, I visited four different doctors. All of them said that it might be caused by stress or fatigue and that I could recover from it as long as I rested. I came home and took anti-dizziness pills, but there was no improvement whatsoever… eventually, I felt so dizzy that I was unable to stand. Nor was I able to eat because I would vomit as soon as I ate. I ended up being hospitalized for medical examinations. During the hospitalization, I underwent many checkups. After I was discharged, I still felt dizzy. The doctor asked me to get some rest and go to bed and get up early.
The dizzy sensations returned two weeks after I was discharged from the hospital. I had no desire to see the Western doctors again, so I searched online for treatments for vertigo. I saw many recommendations for Dr. Wen; I thought I would give alternative treatments a go since, based on the results of the Western medicine, I was really not sure as to whether my vertigo problem could be fixed.
Life was normal when the bouts of vertigo did not come; when they came, however, I could not do anything except lie in bed not knowing when it would go away. It was frustrating waking up each morning feeling worried. Initially, I decided to try acupuncture treatments with the mindset of just giving it a go. After two or three treatments, the drowsiness that I had felt at the onset of the symptoms improved significantly. I gained more confidence and came to receive the treatments every day. I have recovered considerably. I am very happy and grateful to Dr. Wen.
