Dear Doctor Wen:

Attached is my testimonial. I am very honored to witness the miracle you created personally. I wish you could save more patients with your great medical skills and popularize Chinese traditional medicine. Among the numerous doctors in the world, you are indeed one that I have never encountered before. I greatly feel that my left eye can service me for a long time after being treated by your acupuncture. Thank you very much!

Due to my job category, I have to work long to detect machines every day, and gazing at the liquid crystal screen is also unavoidable for me. What’s more, such actions are not only performed during my on-duty time, for I usually work overtime.

Accumulatively, I suffered maculopathy in my left eye, going from the physical inability in the early stage to dropsy later.

The private medical insurance offered partial subsidy, which allowed me to see a doctor trained in western medicine and undergo laser surgery regardless of the time spent and therapeutic effects.

However, the laser surgery time after time and endless eye drops were just like unending nightmares. Yes, laser could scarify the afflicted part to make the dropsy flow out in case of eye dropsy. Either the common laser subsidized by the national health insurance or the photodynamic laser surgery paid by patients themselves could make the patient’s eyes free from dropsy for a certain period. 

But the feeling of fatigued eyes and continuous pyogenesis that seems like dropsy couldn’t be cured with medical means. Perhaps changing my job or avoiding trying to use my eyes frequently while resting longer may render me opportunities to cure my disease. 

In June, 2012, I learned about Doctor Wen Chongkai’s magical acupuncture skills from my friend, the one who had his temporo-mandibular joint cured effectively. Then I searched the relevant events about Doctor Wen on the internet, learning that there is such a great doctor of Chinese traditional medicine in Taipei. 

But it was by chance that I accepted Doctor Wen’s therapy. It originated from the time when I took my wife to see Doctor Wen and I learned that he had already successfully cured diseases like mine. After witnessing his mature acupuncture skills on my wife, I asked whether he can treat my eyes right there and then and he agreed delightfully, and conducted acupuncture on several acupoints near my eyes. 

Instantly, my tears burst out once the needles were punctured and I had to say that such supreme skills couldn’t be found everywhere. Although it was impossible to let my diseases disappear within several seconds in our real life, the event I experienced at that time made me not help thinking that I would not have gone for a laser surgery if I met Doctor Wen earlier.

After my first course consisting of eye-, scalp- and abdominal-acupunctures, I felt that my eye disease seemed to be cured completely.

However, happy days didn’t last for long. I felt that my eye became uncomfortable again in one week. Doctor Wen told me that the therapy would be conducted intensively to enhance the effectiveness.

Therefore, I accepted his suggestions and came to him from Taoyuan County every day (or every two days at most) after finishing overtime work. Just as expected, the uncomfortable post-signs of laser surgery were alleviated greatly. Before accepting the acupuncture therapies, my eyes often felt fragile before dusk even if I took a nap at noon every day. The easy-to-tire feeling as well as the uncomfortable sense of dropsy couldn’t be alleviated with eye drops and rest.

However, the maculopathy in my left eye that had been bothering me for almost four years were alleviated after the acupuncture therapy conducted by Doctor Wen, and the uncomfortable feelings in my eyes every day were shortened significantly. I came to be aware that the uncomfortable experiences that I deemed as common phenomena were still the results of my eye’s maculopathy and maybe I still had to go for laser surgery if the situations accumulated to a certain degree. Now, I regained the feeling of resting my eyes through sleep like how it was twenty years ago, which, for me, is just like the vitality of the eyes upon waking up. I once thought my eyes would be in an endless malicious cycle due to my job category; however, thanks to Doctor Wen’s acupuncture skills, I got renewed hope from desperation.
