Recovery of an incurable disease

One holiday evening in2005, I remembered being so tired after a week’s work and wanted to eat chicken cutlet and pearl milk tea to relax myself. Then, I turned on the TV which was playing Tony Fish’s show “fist foisting into mouth” episode. At that time, I thought the show was easy, so I immediately tried to put my fist in my mouth. Just then, I felt my left lower chin “creaking” but didn’t care and still went on to force my fist into my mouth. Suddenly, I felt something on my chin and was injured before I know it. That was my beginning of my tragic life.

In later days, I thought it was not that serious and just took analgesic plaster. But, I didn’t know why it still hurt after  about 1-2 months. Later, a Chinese MedicineHospital diagnosed it as “not serious”. However, it still hurt now after almost2 years. Each time I work with anything with high pressure or overtime, my lower chin might just hurt. ,So I immediately went to the hospital where a western doctor told me that the pain is caused by temporomandibular disorder (I didn’t know what it was and thought it was horrible). The doctor then explained that I worked overtime with high pressure too much, which led my shoulder muscles to tighten and drag the muscle behind my ears, leading to my loose and uncovered chin ligament to position repeatedly (malocclusion). As time passed by, my chin never went back to normal, and even got worse.. One morning in 2009, I found my right chin affected by my left chin.

At that moment, I realized the seriousness of my temporomandibular disorder. Consequently, I actively searched on the Internet about experts on temporomandibular disorders from 2007-2010. During the last 3 years, I’ve seen different western medicine doctors who prescribed nothing but muscle relaxant or paregoric. Some suggested using a biteplate which was inconvenient and had limited recovery effect. If the symptom does not improve or worsen, I have to undergo an operation which still did not ensure recovery and had long-term rehabilitation time. In addition, I even turned to massage and general Chinese medicine. It was good during the first two days, but it went back after several days. Then I thought my disease was incurable.

In July 2012, I had an idea when net friends suggested some experts on temporomandibular disorders on the internet. Then, I found the Wen Cong-Kai Chinese Medicine Clinic. After reading testimonials from over 20 patients with the same disease, I wondered: “Can this be true?” So out of curiosity, I then decided to see how amazing the doctor really is . On June 22, after Dr. Wen probed tens of needles in my scalp, I suddenly felt better. After I arrived home, my chin has tightened and was slightly aching like some sort of external force was acting on my lower chin to help it move and get to the right place. After that I went for treatment 3-4 more times and I have already finished 10 courses of treatment. I recovered almost 90%. It is amazing that an 8-year temporomandibular disorder can have such an unbelievable result within 3 weeks of treatment. Finally, I am sincerely grateful for Dr. Wen’s “Magic Needle” which endowed my “incurable” disease with the chance to get well again.
