Serious headache

From a mother's moving recommendation

   August 2011 is the beginning of me and Xiao Xin’s nightmare. After Xiao Xin caught a cold that month, he had developed a headache unexpectedly. He sometimes felt pain in the afternoon and sometimes even for the whole day. He has a medical history of nasal allergy and nasosinusitis and all treatments were focused on them at this point. However, it did so little for he was still in pain. After he caught another cold in October, the situation got worse. He felt pain every time he got up each morning and even didn’t want to go to school because he had to sit in the classroom complaining about his headaches and couldn’t move nor rest. The otolaryngologist thought the situation was bad and suggested us to have it examined in a large hospital with the proper facilities. However, the brain wave and CT all showed normal and that there wasn’t any problem but it seems that paregoric also had no effect on his headache. 

   As a mother, I was worried about his situation so much. Every day I saw his livid face and frown and then I deeply realized that good health was better than everything. I was envious of other children who could go to school normally and happily played after school and learned a lot of other interesting skills. Although my child had to sit in the classroom suffering from headaches, he did have some relaxed activities after school but had no time to do anything else.   

   During that period, I’ve learned from several other Chinese medicine doctors but each held almost the same opinion. However, the treatment effect was not obvious after a period of time. As for western medical doctors, most of them used antibiotic that had really no significant effect on the headache. 

   One evening, I read some of the many patient witnesses or testimonials at Dr. Wen’s website and decided to give it a try. The next day after I got off work, I accompanied my child to Dr. Wen’s clinic. The first time Xiao Xin saw the fine needle, he didn’t want to be treated, but received the acupuncture treatment after being distracted by a Lego toy. It was so amazing. His headache was relieved by as much as 50%. Since he felt relieved after his first treatment, he decided to take the second one. After the second time, his headache subsided and he only felt little discomfort afterwards. After he went back home, he told me he would be brave enough to receive 10 needles because Dr. Wen made him feel better so very much. (Former treatment was conducted with 6 needles)

   It was during his 4th acupuncture treatment when I wrote this article. Because of the New Year, we could not continue our acupuncture. But my kid and I had a much better New Year. Although it still hurts, it is totally different from the time before his acupuncture treatments. Anyway, thanks to Dr. Wen’s medical skill, I believe my kid will recover after 10 courses of treatment.
