Doctor Wen, Me and My Daughter’s Saviour
In early October of last year, my daughter who was in her second year of high school felt pain in her left knee. I never imagined it was the beginning of my nightmare. Her pain started to spread from the left knee to the right knee, right hand, left hand, then to the arms and legs, and finally to the lower part of her vertebrae early this year. Especially in the morning, she finds it too painful to get up. I tried to help her every day but she said it hurts once I touch her. Moreover, I had to carry her to the washroom and help her to wear clothes and socks. Even both her hands could not write, so I had to help her do her homework while she dictated. In that period, she almost asked for leave every day and could not go to school, or went reluctantly to school at 2pm. Furthermore, her problems with walking became so serious that changing classrooms even seemed like torture for her. She not only suffered physical pain but also cried in bed every time she thinks that her classmates are in school and she isn’t. And my life also changed. I not only helped make everything well but also at her beck and call. Whenever I receive her call, I had to stop to what I was doing and go back by taxi to take her to the school, and then went back to work. In recent months, I had to take taxi to take her to school even for one class. Therefore, I shuttled back and forth from my company, home, school and hospital, even worrying about her studies.
Ever since she suffered from this disease, we went to various clinics and hospitals to consult with doctors of both Chinese and Western medicine. The doctors diagnosed it as ankylosing spondylitis. The inflammation index was normal from the blood examination after taking western medicines, so the doctor asked my daughter to exercise more and prescribed anti-inflammatory drugs, analgesic and muscle- relaxants. However, after several months, she still felt a lot of pain and still find it hard to get up. Last month, I found my daughter lose her hair unexpectedly. Suddenly my spirit broke down, and didn’t know what to do. Despite my hopelessness, I comforted her: “It is not a big deal, and I will accompany you to buy a wig next week”.
In such a helpless situation, I took to the Internet to search for answers and found out about this Doctor Wen from one of his patient’s testimonies. I turned to him in a mood of trial and uncertainty. Unexpectedly, I saw the miracle. I never forgot that fateful day of March 26 when the Doctor did the needle session for the first time, and my daughter felt the pain relieved. On the second day, she got up at 9 am by herself and said she wanted to go to school. That was the first time that she could get up so early and went to school without my help after she had suffered the disease. It was so amazing. She has been receiving acupuncture treatment for 4 weeks now. As a result, the pain was greatly relieved, with new hair growing. As things stood, she looked almost the same with normal people. I believe she will regain the life she had before the disease. I thank Doctor Wen so much. He is our saviour.
